HALO Leadership

The Heritage American’s Loyal Order has three leadership tiers:

  • LODGE CHIEF: Local leader of a county lodge; responsible for recruitment, vetting members, hosting meetings and events, managing mutual aid, and ensuring charter compliance at the lodge level. The Lodge Chief is the most important leadership role, being an in-person leader of men, organized with a lodge leadership council. (Estimated 2 hours/week)
  • COUNTY REP: A support role for Lodge Chiefs in his county focused on building lodge autonomy, supporting attendance, compliance with our Code of Conduct, and driving membership growth in support of local lodge. (Estimated 2-4 hours/month)
  • STATE REP: The statewide coordinator supports the County reps across multiple counties. The State rep provides mentorship, assists in distribution of information and communication, facilitates mutual aid, and reports to the Grand Lodge Council. (Estimate 2-4 hours/month)

All our leadership roles facilitate the goal of lodge autonomy and compliance, working to deliver on the HALO Mission. HALO provides leadership training for each role (initial 6-8 hours of training over 4 weeks), with ongoing support to maintain uniformity and adaptation as needed. All our leaders must be members of a local lodge, and their volunteer hours may vary depending on their personal availability and desire to deliver on the mission.
